The Book Seller is reporting that the Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them screenplay book has been turned into a large-print and dyslexic-friendly edition.
The new formats come from publisher, W F Howes Ltd.
The editions created by W F Howes are specifically designed for readers who require larger font and cater for readers with dyslexia and dyspraxia, which is around 15% of the UK population according to the British Dyslexia Association. The edition is also suitable for readers with other difficulties impacting the ability to track words including Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, brain injury and Cerebral Palsy.
Dominic White, head of publishing and commerce at W F Howes Ltd, said: “We’ve had a huge response to the first ever Dyslexia format we created for J K Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and it is exciting to build on it with the next instalment, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Accessibility should be a key consideration in publishing and this is an example of how we can open up a new and important audience.”
