Following on from yesterday's announcement based on Potter-related cast members being nominated for a Producers Guild Award, the latest BAFTA nominations have been revealed.

Eddie Redmayne is nominated for best actor for a second year for The Danish Girl, with Idris Elba, Dame Maggie Smith and Kate Winslet also nominated.

Brooklyn, which features Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent and Domhnall Gleeson, has a total of six awards.

Brooklyn garnered six nominations in total today, including best actress for Saiorse Ronan and best supporting actress for Julie Walters.

The Revenant, starring Domhnall Gleeson, has a total of eight nominations.

Ex Machina, featuring Domhnall Gleeson, has a total of five nominations.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens, featuring Domhnall Gleeson, has a total of four nominations.

Dame Maggie Smith has received a nomination for Leading Actress for her role in The Lady in the Van.

The awards will take place on February 14th and will be hosted by Stephen Fry.

The nomination comes for his involvement in the Channel 4 National Treasure TV show.

The Belfast Telegraph and other media outlets are announcing that Sir Kenneth Branagh will receive the top honour at BAFTA's annual Britannia Awards in Los Angeles.
