Ohh i am in between i don't have any idea sure DD has made mistakes but DD has his reasons to trust Snape and he hasn't told anyone why and as much as Snape is horrible he has helped the order so he is good but for some reason that we haven't been priveleged to see yet. This will be clarified by DD by a memory or by the portrait.
Then again he killed using Advada Kedavra and you have to mean it so he had to believe it although i hope i am wrong i am going to say this is one of the few things that DD got wrong. Because DD wasn't ready for death he had lots to explain that doesnt mean he feared death though.

I am also in between, but I said I think Dumbledore's wrong. To kill someone is horrendous and you can't do it unless you completely mean it, and then Snape fled, not feeling a single emotion. Sure, he helped out the order, but barely. He said it himself, he believed Voldemort to be dead before the end of Harry's 4th year. He couldn't have helped the order so much. The Occlumency Lessons were just an easy way to get into Harry's head to tell Voldemort. At some points he saved Harry, but only so the Dark Lord would be able to kill him.
You can never trust Snape.

I'm a Snape supporter

i thought that when DD was like 'Severus please' he has asking for the killing curse. This might explain why DD flew up in the air when the spell was casted - there was so much emotion (regret, hatred etc.) because he didn't want to but he knew he had to, to keep his place with the deatheaters. This would also explain Snape's wierd way of shouting at Harry when he was chasing him - you don't tell people how to do a curse properly when you want them dead (referring to the whole Sectumsempra thing, Snape was like 'you gotta close you mind!)
Then again, everyone makes mistakes, even DD, i guess we'll have to wait and see

I trust DD's decisions completely. I think he knew more than he let on to Harry (DD himself said he underestimated Harry due to age and how much Harry could cope with), and therefore had more reasons to trust Snape than we know about.
^Xlumos, I think Snape did have emotions after that incident. Don't forget the hatred or whatever that was on his face when he killed DD - I think that's because he's hating himself for what he's about to do to the one person who showed Snape full trust. That's emotion

I am very torn over this subject, but I chose trusting Dumbledore. That's not to say I believe Snape's completely good, but I can't get over the fact that Dumbledore MADE Harry witness the scene. He was off to get him help, but Dumbledore stopped him to make him watch. Harry's word has often been ignored when informing authorities of what he saw (Pettigrew, VD's return, ect) so I can't imagine Dumbledore wanted him as a witness to turn Snape in, especially since DD himself was primarily the only person who trusted him.

I am personally not sure

, I would like to believe that Snape killed DD on DD's orders, but in the book it talks all about Snape giving DD looks of utter hatred right before he kills him. But JKR herself has said that Dumbledore is "too trusting to the point of recklessness," and I agree with this! I think DD is too trusting for his own good and believes too much in second chances and all that

Yes, I always trusted Severus Snape! And I wasn't wrong about him neither was DD.
