Sirius' last line

Well done James
He called Harry James, I think that shows how much he missed James, and how much he loves Harry for being James' son

From the tip of his wand burst the silver doe: She landed on the office floor, bounded once across the office, and soared out of the window. Dumbledore watched her fly away, and as her silvery glow faded he turned back to Snape, and his eyes were full of tears.
"After all this time?"
"Always" said Snape

Remember in the book Hermione kept telling Harry, Sirius was treating Harry like James and it wasn't right. Harry was in denial throughout the entire book and refused to admit Hermione and Mrs Weasley was right. And I think that moment in the MoM was when he finally accepted what they had been telling him.
Did you notice the hurt/confused look on Harry's face when Sirius said "Good one James"? It nearly broke my heart.

Was it a "Hollywood addition"? Cause I cant seem to remember it being in the book? But if it wasnt in the book, I think it was definitely a great line to add, it did show Sirius' state of mind
Yes, I think it was a scriptwriters addition, and agree with you all that given the time frame in the film to depict this relationship between Harry and Sirius, that one line manages to encompass it all. It was a magnificent piece of writing.
"We both know there are other ways of destroying a man, Tom." Dumbledore said calmly. "Merely taking your life would not satisfy me, I admit – "

I find the movie more "flawed" than the previous ones but the Sirius-Harry relationship is very well portrayed.

It was a hollywood addition. Sirius most definately does not ever call Harry by his father's name in the book! That's much more horrible than anything he does do, what a way to break poor Harry's heart. I hated it (can you tell? lol), but I don't like what they did with Sirius at all in the movies at all.
"Do we walk in legends or on the green earth in the daylight?"
"The green earth, say you? That is a mighty matter of legend," said Aragorn, "though you tread it under the light of day!"

I know it shows how Sirius misses James and how Harry reminds him of James, but I don't like that it suggests there was something wrong mentally with Sirius. I mean, yes, clearly he'd been through his hard times, but in the book I think he says (to Mrs. Weasley) that he's perfectly clear on who Harry is...so this just seems to be a bit of a contradiction. I can understand how it would be a slip of the tongue during the stress of the fight, though, but still... I just didn't like it...and also because of Harry's reaction to it! So sad...

Did anyone else catch that Sirius last line before he died was
Well done James
He called Harry James, I think that shows how much he missed James, and how much he loves Harry for being James' son
That was a typical mistake made in the movie. The last words of Sirius were actually directed at Bellatrix as they were duelling
"Come on, you can do better than that!" (OOTP page 805)
I would love to see someone make movies that are true to the books, similar to the TV movie of STephen King's "The Stand". I don't mind sitting through long movies that are well made.
