You are getting better with animation. Good job. I think your Harry Potter one is tight. Nice ghosting/opaque use.

You're pretty good with image transitions! Now try using brushes from DeviantArt and add an outline on your text, and you will own. ^^

Your Snape banner is very nice indeed. I love the colors... try experimenting with gradients and you'll end up with an effect similar to the one on my siggie. You're gaining experience & I'm proud ^_^

A gradient is simply a row of colors blended into each other (like the colors in my sig... notice how the different colors are seamless).

Here`s one tutorial that might help you out.
