[Gacysia]

Hello everyone.

Uhm. You can call me Gacysia, or invite an easier nickname for me. I'm a girl, and I am 20 years old. I'd rather not tell where I am from (I might do so later, but for now, no), but you can probably see that English is not my first language. So if I say something funny please don't be offended, I may have meant something else.

The main reason I joined The Snitch was that I want to make friends with foreign people, who speak English as their mother language. (Of course I want to make friends with those who don't, but I want to develop my English.) I considered some game forums, and forums that were generally for everyone, but then I thought that The Snitch would be best. I really don't know why. Maybe because I like HP (surPRISE~!), but, uh- this felt like a good place.

Oh well. I study comic drawing (-how awesome is THAT), I like reading and music. Right now I enjoy movie music/insturmental music the best. I usually read fantasy books, but I've started to read some scifi and detective novels, and some classics like Jane Austen's books. And I really wish to re-read The Hobbit and LOTR, it's been such a long time since I read them. Maybe I should read them in English this time...?

I got my first Harry Potter book when I was around 9 years old, I don't remember for sure. My first book was The Prisoner of Azkaban, and I got it as a Xmas present. In my country the covers are pretty awful (I think), and I thought: 'a boy, who is a wizard? Ha, who likes to read that?', and it took me a month till I finally started reading it. And I loved it.
Then the fourth book was published, and I bought it too. Later I was shopping with my grandma, who wanted to buy me a book. I took the first one, and she asked if I already had the second one too. I said no, and she bought me both. I finish the first one in one night, and would have started reading my second one if my brother wouldn't have been reading it.
I have all HP's in my own language, and 3rd, 6th and 7th in English. One day, when I have some extra cash, I'm gonna buy the rest in English too.

I've thought of joining a HP RPG forum, but I'm not sure if my English skills are good enough. Maybe I'll get some confidence here.

If you want to know more about me, you only need to ask. I can't quarantee you answers, but I won't throw a spell at you for it. :)

I don't know how active other HP sites are (as far as new discussions go) because in all honesty everything is dying down. The books have been done for years and part two of the last film will be release in another week. . .but another more popular site is The Leaky Cauldron. You could try there. Or you can join up on Pottermore. There aren't forums to talk to others but it's certainly large with interesting tibits about the HP universe.
